Accurack ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Accurack web, mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name, email address, and role assigned by your organisation
  • Profile picture (optional, uploaded by you)

Device & Usage Data

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • App interaction logs for performance monitoring and error diagnosis

Business Data

  • Inspection records, job details, and reports you create within the app
  • Photos of warehouse items or damage that you capture or upload using the app

2. App Permissions

📷 Camera

Used to photograph warehouse damage, inspection items, and for your profile picture. Photos are only captured when you explicitly initiate an action within the app. We do not access your camera in the background.

🖼️ Photo Library / Storage

Allows you to select existing photos from your device gallery to attach to inspections, reports, or your profile. On Android, read/write storage access is required to save work-related photos. We only access files that you explicitly select or create within the app.

🖼️ Microphone

Allows you to record audio for voice notes or other features within the app. We only access the microphone when you explicitly initiate an action.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and manage your account securely
  • To deliver app features including inspections, job management, and reporting
  • To improve app performance, fix bugs, and enhance the user experience
  • To comply with legal obligations applicable to your organisation

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your employing organisation (tenant) as part of the Accurack platform
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in Microsoft Azure. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS
  • JWT-based authentication with token expiry
  • Role-based access controls so users only access data relevant to their role
  • Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services to your organisation. When an account is closed, personal data is removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Accurack is a business application intended for use by adults in a professional context. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
